A representative example of a Ca2+ signal generated by the ~10 anterior-most somites in the trunk of a zebrafish embryo at ~18 hours post fertilization. This embryo had been injected with the Ca2+-sensitive bioluminescent protein complex, f-aequorin, during the early Cleavage Period.
