Expression pattern of the transcription factor CCAAT enhancer binding protein alpha (C/EBPalpha) in an E9.5 mouse embryo. C/EBPalpha is exclusively expressed in the early liver bud, supporting the idea that C/EBP factors are master regulators for liver development.
